Document Verification Service Assistance

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Document Verification Service (DVS) is a joint initiative of the Australian Government and State and Territory Governments

The DVS allows individuals to verify their identity in a fast, secure and private way. The DVS is a hub that acts as a router and does not store your personal information.

The DVS provides a 1:1 digital match of the biographical information on identity documents, to the original issuing agency.

Use this form if you are having difficulties verifying your Home Affairs-issued document in DVS.

Home Affairs-issued document types:​​

• ​Visa - linked to foreign passport or DFTTA (excluding PL056)
• ImmiCard
• Citizenship documents
• ASIC/MSIC

This form is not intended for the following:​

• ​provide updates on your visa application, see After you apply

• update your passport linked to your visa, see You have a new passport
• make any changes or updates to details printed on your documents, see:
