ImmiCard

Update details on my immiCard, DFTTA or PL056

Step 1

Before you apply

If you are under 18, you can follow our process to amend your ImmiCard details.

For children under 18, the parent or guardian of the child will need to apply on their behalf. You will need to provide proof of your identity and of your relationship to the child, such as a scan of your guardianship papers, court order or Medicare card to support ImmiCard application.

Step 2

Gather documents

Step 3

Apply for your amendment

Complete the ImmiCard amendment application form. Attach your scanned documents to the online application.

Step 4

Amendment outcome

If we agree to correct your details, we will cancel your old ImmiCard and ask you to return it to us. We will then issue you a new card with the correct details to your postal address. Your previous details will be printed on the back of the card. This makes it easier to change your details with government departments and other institutions.

If we do not accept your documents as evidence to correct your details, we will contact you and explain our decision.

If you have a Document for Travel to Australia (DFTTA) or a Visa Evidence Card (PLO56) and we agree to correct your details, you will need to apply for an ImmiCard to replace the out of date document. We will let you know if you need to apply for ImmiCard when we tell you whether we have agreed to change your details.
