Occupation nomination and skills assessment requirements - Graduate Work stream

Graduate Work stream applications lodged from 1 July 2023 need a qualification relevant to an occupation on the skilled occupation list. They also need a skills assessment in the nominated occupation.
We have removed these requirements for applications lodged between 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023.

Extended post-study work rights for select degrees – Post-Study Work stream

The duration of stay for some Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visas in the Post-Study work stream will increase by two years. We will provide more information on how to apply closer to 1 July 2023. For more information see rebuilding the international education sector.

We are supporting Temporary Graduate visa holders in Australia whose visas will expire 1 September 2022 to 30 June 2023 through transitional arrangements. From 1 July 2023, eligible applicants will be able to apply for the extension.
