Pacific Engagement visa – Ballot registration

To be eligible to apply for a Pacific Engagement (subclass 192) visa eligible citizens must first register in the ballot and be randomly selected and invited to apply for the visa.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Pacific Engagement visa Country Ballot Status

The Pacific Engagement visa (PEV) ballot for Pacific island and Timor-Leste nationals opened on 28 July 2025. It will close on 25 August 2025.​

Countries participating in the PEV ballot include:

  • Federated States of Micronesia
  • Fiji
  • Kiribati
  • Nauru
  • Palau
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Samoa
  • Solomon Islands
  • Timor-Leste
  • Tonga
  • ​Vanuatu.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade publish PEV allocations for each participating country on their web page Pacific engagement visa.

The PEV Country Ballot Status table below provides details of each ballot. This includes the open and close period for submitting a registration and the status of each ballot.​

The ballot selection process will be conducted during the selection period as outlined in the PEV Country Status table below.​

The ballot status may show as follows:

PENDING​​ – The Ballot is pending commencement or opening.​

Active​ – The Ballot is open and you are able to submit your registration.

CLOSED​ – The Ballot period for participants to submit registrations is closed. No further registrations can be sub​mitted and the selection process is pending for this ballot.

EXPIRED​ – Selections have been finalised for this Ballot. No further selections will be made from this ballot.​​

The ballot selection process will begin after the ballot registration period is closed.

If we select you in the ballot you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply for a visa. Your status in ImmiAccount will show as ‘Selected’. If you are not selected in a ballot your status in ImmiAccount may show as ‘Received’ for the current program year or ‘Expired’ for a previous program year.​​

Selected participants have 120 days from the date of notification of selection to complete their visa application and submit it online.​

If you were not selected in the 2024-2025 program year, and continue to meet the eligibility requirements, then you may submit a new registration in the 2025-2026 ballot. Further details for the next PEV ballot period will be published on the Department’s website.​
