Labour Agreements

Industry labour agreements

Industry labour agreements are for a specific industry with fixed terms and conditions. Industry representative bodies will determine those terms in negotiation with the department, after demonstrating ongoing labour shortages and extensive consultation within the industry. Consistent concessions across an industry ensures equal opportunity and a level playing field.

We are aware that when submitting an Industry Labour Agreement in the Department ImmiAccount the form incorrectly provides a compulsory field on page 18 indicating that stakeholder consultation is required. The Department is working to have this issue rectified in ImmiAccount, in the interim applicants for an ILA may enter n/a into the required fields unless are applying for an Aged Care Industry Labour Agreement, where the union MoU is required.
