Working in agriculture

Support farmers, support Australia

The agriculture sector is crucial to the success of Australia's economy and the COVID-19 pandemic has made it harder for farmers to find the workers they need to fill their labour shortages.

Temporary visa holders can help fill some of these shortages to ensure harvest work continues and agriculture can continue to play its important role in securing Australia's prosperity.

The Government has introduced a number of temporary visa measures to address labour shortages in the agricultural sector – to assist temporary visa holders to continue to work in agriculture and increase the number of visa holders available for employers.

Agricultural and harvest work opportunities are available across Australia. For more information and to find jobs visit the Harvest Trail website or call the Harvest Trail Information Service on freecall 1800 062 332 from 8am to 8pm.
