The Visa Pricing Estimator will give you a basic estimate only, based on the information you enter at the time.
The Visa Pricing Estimator will not be able to produce an accurate estimate if any of the following apply to you. If you:
- are applying for a visa subclass where there is more than one possible base application charge
- are applying for a visa subclass for which a subsequent temporary application charge might be applicable
- are applying for a visa subclass which does not permit combined applications and you wish to include family members in your application.
Please refer to the Visa Pricing Table for an accurate indication of the charges payable in your circumstances. You may also wish to seek independent advice, for example from a migration agent.
You should not rely on this Visa Pricing Estimator to provide you with a complete estimate of the costs involved in applying for a visa.
For some visas, an additional charge is payable before the visa can be granted, and these charges are not included in the estimate. These charges can be significant - for example, some Contributory Parent (Migrant) (subclass 143) applicants are required to pay AUD 42,220* (*price correct as at 1 July 2013) before the visa can be granted.
If the visa you are applying for requires that you be nominated or sponsored, there might also be fees that your nominator or sponsor will be required to pay, which are not included in this Visa Pricing Estimator.
Your visa application is not valid until we receive the full amount of the charges you are required to pay when lodging your visa application. If less than the correct amount is paid, we cannot commence the processing of your visa application until the correct amount is received.
There are certain criteria which you must meet in order to lodge a valid visa application. No information included in or produced by this Visa Pricing Estimator should be relied upon in determining your eligibility to apply for the visa.
The Visa Pricing Estimator is not connected to department databases where your visa application history or any information is maintained. The department does not keep any of the information you provide to complete your estimate.
