On 04 April 2022, the Pacific Labour Scheme stream closed to new applications and was replaced by the Temporary Work (International Relations) visa (subclass 403) – Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) stream.
Both pacific worker programs, the Seasonal Worker Program (SWP) and the Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS), have been consolidated, reformed and replaced by the PALM stream.
