You might be eligible to apply for
Training visa (subclass 407) or
Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408).
You might want to consider the Training visa (subclass 407) if you intend to:
- undertake occupational training
- participate in classroom based professional development programme.
You might want to consider the Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408) if you are:
- an academic who is invited to collaborate in a research project by an Australian tertiary or research institution or
- a student or recent graduate who wants to undertake a research activity at an Australian tertiary or research institution related to your field of study
- an elite sportsperson participating in high level sports training.
