The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) - Treaty stream (Tuvalu) pre-application ballot will give eligible people from Tuvalu equal access to the PEV Treaty stream (Tuvalu). The ballot provides a fair and transparent process by randomly selecting people to apply for the visa. It makes sure there is equal access for people of any:
- skill level
- occupation
- gender.
The Australian Government will allocate up to 280 Treaty stream places to Tuvalu nationals each year. This includes partners and dependent children. This is in addition to the places we allocate each year for the Pacific Engagement stream visa.
To be able to apply for the Pacific Engagement visa (subclass 192) - Treaty stream (Tuvalu), you must first register in the Treaty stream ballot. If we randomly select you in the Treaty stream ballot, you can then apply for the visa. To find out if you can register in the ballot, see Ballot eligibility.
There is a ballot registration fee of AUD25.
