Use this form to express an interest in applying for the
National Innovation (subclass 858) visa.
To find out how the Expression of Interest (EOI) works, including indicators for invitation, visit National Innovation visa Expression of Interest.
An EOI is not a visa application.
If you need a visa to stay in or travel to Australia while you are waiting for an EOI outcome, you should explore other
visa options.
You should be aware that:
- submitting an EOI does not guarantee you will be invited to apply for a National Innovation visa
- the EOI is not an assessment of your eligibility for a National Innovation visa
- an invitation to apply for a National Innovation visa is not an indication that you will be granted a visa.
Before you submit an EOI, check if you are eligible for the National Innovation (subclass 858) visa.
When submitting an EOI you must:
- not submit a second EOI if you have a pending EOI
- ensure your answers are complete and all supporting documents are attached before you submit the EOI, information cannot be added to your EOI after it is submitted
- submit all information and supporting documentation in English only
- answer each field in full and do not refer to attached documentation
- attach documents to your application in the correct format, the Department cannot access documents stored on cloud-based platforms such as OneDrive or Google drive
The terms ‘EOI candidate’ and ‘you’ refer to the individual expressing an interest in applying for the National Innovation visa, unless specified otherwise.
