Australian Immigration Enquiry form - Phnom Penh

​​​​​​​​​​We do not provide pre-lodgement migration advice. You can find visa information by visiting the Department of Home Affairs website. You can also refer to the Embassy, Consulate or High Commission website for the country you are in.

If you already hold a visa, check your visa status and entitlements using Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO).

If you do not have your departmental reference number or visa grant notification, you can request this information by completing the Request for reference number form. We will then email your reference number to you.

If you hold a valid permanent or provisional Family visa and cannot travel to Australia before the first entry arrival date, complete the travel facilitation letter request form.

If you have an enquiry about a Child, Adoption or Orphan Relative visa, complete the Child and orphan relative visa processing centre form.

If you have a valid visa but have a new passport, follow the instructions to update your passport details.

We will only respond to enquiries relating to applications currently being processed or recently decided at the Australian Visa Office in Phnom Penh.

We currently operate under a Global Case Management model. This means that your application could be processed at any of our offices in Australia or around the world, even if you lodged in Cambodia.

What should you do

Identity documents

You should provide as many documents as possible with your visa application to support your identity, such as your:

  • Current passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Family book
  • Residence book
  • National ID card
  • Marriage certificate and/or divorce certificate

These documents should be scanned in colour and include an English translation.

At least one identity document should be the oldest document you have, showing the date you were registered with Cambodian authorities.

Do not provide fraudulent documents or make false claims. If you do we may refuse your application, or it might affect any applications you make in the future.

Once a decision has been made on your application, we will send you a Visa Grant Notification or a Visa Refusal Notification. This will be sent to the email address nominated in your application. You can see the Visa Grant Notification or the Refusal Notification in your ImmiAccount.

Reconsidering a decision made by the Department of Home Affairs

The Refusal Notification will give you details if your decision is reviewable with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). If you are eligible, apply for a review.
